Biography

General John Nelson Abrams was commissioned an Armor Officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School, 3 February 1967. His first duty assignment was as Platoon Leader, B Troop, 2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry, 2nd Armored Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
