Biography

First Lieutenant Walter J. Marm was commissioned an Infantry Officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School 18 April 1965, class number 600. His first duty assignment was as Rifle Platoon Leader, 2nd Pl, A Company, 1st Battalion 7th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division.

His subsequent duty assignment include: Instructor, U.S.A. Mountain Ranger Camp.

His awards and decorations include: Vietnamese Service Ribbon, National Defense Medal; Vietnamese Campaign Medal; Purple Heart and the Medal of Honor.
