Biography

Colonel Edmund L. Davis was commissioned an Infantry officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School Class 19-70, 28 August 1970. His first duty assignment was as an Airborne Rifle Platoon Leader, Company C, 3/325 Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division.

His subsequent duty assignments include: Infantry Platoon Leader, 2/5th Infantry, 1st Air Cavalry Division, Vietnam; Commander, Special Training Co. Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Commander Company B, 1/58th Infantry (Mechanized), 197th Infantry Brigade, Fort Benning, Georgia; Instructor, Army Academy of Health Sciences, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Contingency Liaison Officer, Department Under the Secretary of Defense (Environment), Washington D.C.; Commander, U.S. Army Environmental Hygiene Agency, Western Division, Aurora, Colorado; Preventative Medicine and Medical Intelligence Officer, U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida; Commander, U.S. Army Center for Health Promotion & Preventive Medicine-Europe, Landstuhl, Germany.
