A proud Oklahoma native, enlisted Soldier and Field Artilleryman, General Tommy Franks served as a Forward and Aerial Observer in Vietnam. He would go on to command at every level to include the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea and ultimately U.S. Central Command. Following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, he would oversee the invasions of both Afghanistan and Iraq in the opening years of the Global War on Terrorism. His awards and decorations include the Presidential Medal of Freedom, three awards of the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, two awards of the Army Distinguished Service Medal and Bronze Star w/ V device. General Frank’s memoirs, American Soldier, debuted Number #1 on the New York Times Best Seller list in 2004.
